Picture Post 9

Versailles from the back

An example of wall decoration throughout the palace

An example of hallways throughout the palace

Fortuitously a pipe organist just happened to be playing in the palace chapel as I walked by

Louis XIV himself, flanked by Caesar.

The famous Hall of Mirrors

Paris from the bank of the river Seine

Looking down the Champs-Elysee all the way from Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe

This is the only arches in the world to be white rather than golden to be in tune with the Champs-Elysee color scheme (yes, I thought this absolutely necessary to post)

Cityscape from the Eiffel Tower

Inside the Musee d'Orsay

At night the Eiffel Tower lights up, and the grass in front of it becomes a chill hangout place

Finally some ancient art! I was getting tired of the last 500 years. (This is from the Louvre)

The big Pyramid, Eiffel Tower and Arc all in one scene, but too bad that's just the small arc, not the big Arc.

These soccer balls are ours now! Cry all you want, you ain't gettin them back. Maybe you'll learn not to kick them all up in here. And stay off our lawn!

Les Invalides, where Napoleon's tomb is. 15 kg of gold was used to gild that dome

What graceful construction! What marvelous engineering! Yes, the four door Peugot hatchback is economical and practical without sacrificing style and safety.
